Advance Science Institute

15141 Whittier Blvd, Whitter, CA

Advance Science Institute (ASI) was founded in 1997 as a corporation. The following year, five of its programs were approved and licensed by the State Board of Nonpublic Career Education. In 1999, two more programs were approved by the board to be offered to prospective students, bringing the total number of vocational programs to seven.

In 2000, ASI moved to its current location at 3750 W 12 Ave in Hialeah, Fl., in the commercial center of the city. In 2003, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges admitted ASI as an accredited member.

The allied health programs currently being offered are:

  • X Ray Machine Operator
  • Biomedical Equipment Technician
  • Nursing Assistant
  • Psychiatric Assistant
  • Medical Assistant

Of special note is the Medical Assistant program, because of which curriculum the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) has accepted ASI as one of their affiliates. Students graduating successfully from this program have been eligible for membership in ARMA since 2005.  ASI has one other claim to fame: in 2009, it was privileged to receive the “2008 – 2009 ACCSC School of Distinction Award” earned only by a limited number of schools each academic year.

In addition to its accredited programs, ASI also offers continuing education opportunities outside the purview of accreditation, which includes Health Care in Service Classes, Durable Medical Equipments Workshop and more.

Though the prime focus at ASI is on developing highly employable graduates, they also provide employment assistance through a variety of means, including special recommendation letters from the School Director upon request and approval. The school’s employment services are offered free of charge to students.
