Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Ultrasound (CVIU)

617 W 7th St, Los Angeles, CA

The Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Ultrasound (CVIU) is a private technical school that is considered as the first ultrasound institute in the country that specializes in two fields of sonography – cardiac and vascular. The school also offers other short term courses that are still related to allied health services.  The school aims to make their students learn specialized information that makes them more competitive compared with other graduates.

The school was established in 2000 and was formerly called the Gulf Institute of Vascular Ultrasound. A year later, the school was renamed to its current name. Currently, the school is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). The school is also licensed under the Alabama Department of Education. Moreover, graduates from the program can also apply to associations like Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) and American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

The Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Ultrasound is located in the city of Mobile in Alabama. The mission of the school is to provide quality education and opportunities to students through offering students stringent classroom instructions and internship programs with its partner scanning laboratories.

For students who wish to enroll at Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Ultrasound, the school follows the same tuition fee rate imposed last academic year (2012 – 2013). Students need to pay $15,920 regardless whether they are in-state or out-of-state enrollees.
