Poplar Bluff School District Practical Nurse Program

The Poplar Bluff School District Practical Nurse Program is a program in the Poplar Bluff public school system. The Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center offers a number of programs to choose from, including Auto Collision Repair, Computer Maintenance Repair, Computer Graphics and Print Technology, Building Trades, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Health Occupations, Cosmetology, and Licensed Practical Nursing. For the health occupation and licensed practical nursing program, entrance exams are required in order to be admitted. Most students are able to train in their field and receive hands on experience working with local nurses. There are currently 24 students in the program, and the total yearly costs as of 2012 were $6,496. For those interested in applying, the application fee is listed at $25, and financial aid can be covered through a series of federal loans and grants.
