St. James Mercy Hospital School of Radiological Science aims to develop highly skilled practitioners that can competitively fare in the technical and dynamic field of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography. Its campus is located at 411 Canisteo Street Hornell, NY 14843.
This school offers competency-based medical imaging training programs in Radiologic Technology and Medical Sonography (Ultrasound). Both of these programs are accredited and have approved clinical sites in Hornell, Dansville, Wellsville, Bath, and Olean, NY. Through an articulation agreement with the Alfred State College, these programs are assured to meet standards and goals of the school.
The Radiologic Technology Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiological Technology (JRCERT). It is a 24-month program which involves classroom instruction and hands-on training in clinical settings.
The Diagnostic Ultrasound or Medical Sonography Program, on the other hand, is registered by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and it can be finished in 24 months. The total tuition for each program is $20,000 ($10,000 annually).
