As part of the Willoughby public school system, the Willoughby – Eastlake School of Practical Nursing has been around for more than forty year providing training to practical nurses. Established in September 1962, the school has been around providing training programs to those who wish to pursue a career in practical nursing. With its stringent training programs, the school was able to produce exceptional graduates since it was first founded more than forty years ago.

Today, the school is accredited by the Ohio Board of Nursing, Ohio Board of Regent Ohio Department of Education and the North Central Accreditation for Continual Improvement. Since the Willoughby – Eastlake School of Practical Nursing is accredited by the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Ohio Board of Regent, students who wish to pursue a four-year nursing degree can do so through the Ohio Transfer Pathway without any problems about their units not being credited by the receiving university.

The diversity of the programs and discipline taught in the school makes it possible for the graduates in Eastlake School of Practical Nursing to find employment in different settings like home health care companies, hospices, hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.

The tuition fee rate in Willoughby is $10,500 for the entire year for both in-state and out-of-state enrollees. However, the rate is still not inclusive of the laboratory fees as well as the workbooks for the students.
