This is a horrible school. They maintain their high NCLEX passing rate by weeding out anyone who is likely to have to take the test more than once. They also like to weed out students whom they judge to be "unfit to be a nurse." Their criteria for this is totally subjective and secret. They remove students from the program without attempting to teach them. My class pretty much had to teach ourselves because the instructors were awful. (3 out of 4 are now gone, but the one who remains teaches information that has been discredited.)

They say they have child care. They do. It doesn't open early enough to be of any use to nursing students who have to be at clinical sites by 6:30 AM. They say they have resources for students who need extra help. That is just a lie. The instructors RUN out of there every day at the end of class and will not see students between classes.

Don't go there. Save your money. Consider the LPN programs in neighboring communities. There is more than one road to becoming an LPN.

Worst nightmare of my life was spent going to LPN school at YCST in 2010.
