Bainbridge State College, located in Bainbridge, Georgia, is a public institution founded in 1970. Originally a two year community college, the school offered a variety of programs and community services and was known as Bainbridge College. The school was changed to a four year institution in February 2013, adding bachelor degree programs and changing its name to the current.
BSC continues to offer its previous catalogue of courses as it transitions to a four year university. As of July 1st of 2018, the school has been consolidated with two institutions in Georgia as approved by the Board of Regents. Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) will carry the mantle for all technical courses and degrees while Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) will take over all academic degree programs for BSC.
Both ABAC and SRTC will continue to offer a large number of programs that allow for academic transfer or career development opportunities and will be adding four year bachelor degree programs over the coming years. Academic transfer programs provide the first two years of a four year education, followed by transfer to a four year college to continue that education and earn a bachelor's degree. Career training programs assists in the pursuit of long term employment through education one's chosen high demand field or industry.

Admissions and Financial
Your financial aid options at SRTC and ABAC will be determined by each respective school. Typically, you will experience these institutions to have an open enrollment policy that allows any individual interested in joining to enroll by first submitting an application, transcripts, and test scores prior to paying for all associated fees. Applicants must be at least eighteen or have a high school diploma or equivalent. Participation in new student orientation and meeting with a counselor are encouraged.
As four year programs are introduced admissions will become more restrictive regarding those programs, requiring certain standards to be met before being admitted.
