Marion Military Institute (MMI) located in Marion, Alabama has a strong history of preparing young women and men for military careers. The school offers outstanding educational programs that help students develop intellectually, morally, and socially. Over 200 generals and admirals started their military career at MMI. If you dream of a military career, then MMI is an excellent place to start your journey.
Individuals from all across the United States attend MMI which helps to prepare them for a career in the military or a civilian career. Marion Military Institute offers a one-year program the helps prepare students for any of the military academies including West Point, the Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
MMI offers a flight training program in conjunction with a local flight school. No matter which academic program you choose, you can learn to fly with a combination of computer-based, online ground school instruction, and flight training. This instruction allows students to earn a private pilot's certificate and will improve an individual’s change of being accepted into a military aviation program.
MMI tuition and fees for Alabama residents is $6,700 per academic year. Non- Alabama residents will be charged $12,700. Uniform costs are $1,850.
MMI offers AP credits in 19 subjects. Academic standards at the school are high and students are pushed to achieve their potential.
The school offers athletic programs in baseball, basketball, tennis, softball, and wrestling. These athletic programs help to develop discipline and team work which is an essential part of any military career.
