Davis Applied Technology College, Kaysville, Utah, was established to provide education opportunities in a variety of skill based fields in 1978. The school began Davis Vocational Center as part of the Davis school district, and was expanded through the purchase of and construction upon nearby land in order to be able to increase the amount of programs offered and accommodate the growing enrollment. As a result the Davis Area Vocational Center was established to serve the counties of Davis and Morgan. Over the years the school has gone through several name changes, finally settling upon the current through state legislation.
