Outstanding technical education is offered using the latest technologies. Courses are offered in Automotive Svc, Air Conditioning, Commercial Foods, Computer Systems Tech, Early Childhood Ed, Electricity, Fashion Design Services, tile setting, and nails.
The Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center offers adult education. The aim is to offer life skills to individuals below the ninth grade level. Potential students must take a skills test for placement purposes. The goal is to help individuals who need to improve writing, math, and reading skills. After the students reach the ninth grade level they can prepare for the GED or enter a technical education program.
The center offers outstanding courses for people who are not native speakers of English. Evening classes are offered from 6:30PM to 9:00PM. Classes are also offered Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Before entering this program, students need to take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (the CASAS).
The school offers many outstanding clubs to get students involved. Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center offers the LHTEC Literacy Club, a singing club, a multicultural dance club, and Health Occupations Student of America (HOSA).
