Mifflin – Juniata Career and Technology Center

445 Schoolhouse Rd, Johnstown, PA

Built in 1968, Mifflin-Juniata Career and Technology Center (MJCTC) is situated on approximately twenty acres in Lewistown, PA. MJCTC offers programs to both high school students and adult learners. Students attending non-public schools in Juniata and Mifflin Counties are also eligible to attend Mifflin-Juniata Career and Technology Center. Enrollment averages about 500 students annually.

Vocational-technical educational programs offered at the MJCTC are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Upon successful completion of all planned courses in a specific vocational-technical program, students also receive a program completion certificate from the Mifflin-Juniata Career and Technology Center.

MJTC also offers a Practical Nurse Program. The Practical Nursing Program provides approximately 1540 clock hours of instruction over a twelve (12) month period. Classes are scheduled for daytime hours, weekdays, usually 8 AM through 3 PM.  Clinical day hours vary – usually 6:30 AM – 4 PM. The Practical Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. The program is approved by the Department of Education and the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Students will participate in clinical practice at several community sites in Mifflin and Juniata Counties.
