Bellus Academy is nationally recognized as innovators in beauty and wellness education. We are located 30 minutes north of San Diego in the heart of Poway. We are highly respected for our post-graduation placement and licensure rates. Our instructional team provides students with one of the finest technical educations available in the nation.
In 2007, our Poway campus expanded by 6,000 additional square feet and performed a two million dollar renovation. We now have a state-of-the-art training facility complete with the finest spa and salon equipment and instructional tools. The student clinic is mirrored after the five-star salons and spas that prepare our students and welcome their clients.

Bellus S.T.A.R. Precision Haircutting System
The S.T.A.R. Precision Haircutting System, developed by Artistic Director Diego Raviglione and Master Educator Nick Berardi, is a precision haircutting system designed to give the best foundation in the art of haircutting. S.T.A.R. is the only haircutting system that evolves as the student’s technical skills and creativity become stronger, providing support to nurture the novice to the master stylist. The S.T.A.R. iPhone and iPad apps allow you to learn anytime, anywhere by watching all the videos on your mobile device or computer.
Bellus Academy is the only academy that currently offers the S.T.A.R. Precision Haircutting System and Nick Education. Nick Education is the premiere online education site, with professional members internationally. Lifetime support program is included to carry you through your entire career as a master stylist.
