Summit Career College was founded in 1991 and received its ACCET accreditation 1994, which allowed it offer federal financial aid and title IV benefits. Located in in Colton, CA, the college opened a second campus in Anaheim, CA in 2003 which has seen large growth due to the efforts of the faculty and staff.
Academics
Summit Career College offers a total of nine program across the fields of health care, business and industrial services. The programs are of varying lengths and offer a certificate/diploma when completed. Summit Career College prides itself on educational excellence and works closely with students to ensure their future success.

- Horrible school. Out to get your money, the school presents a beautiful image but just behind the curtain of glamor that is presented to prospective students lies a fly by night organization. My nursing class started with a hundred and twenty students, eighty students failed the first semester. Of course the responsibility of passing the first semester solely rests on the student but I don't believe many of my fellow classmates should have made it through the entrance exam. Especially considering your first semester at Summit Career College is going to cost you eight thousand dollars. Any nursing program is difficult but the faculty of instructors that Summit Career College employs helped me to understand the phrase " Those that can't do, teach. Please avoid this school, I signed the contract so I was stuck in a contract.

- I was excited to start the LVN program and was a good student. I studied and passed all my exams. I even passed my hesi with a high score and passed my first term with a 90%. But once the second term started, they began to pull students out of class accusing them of being absent, although they had never been absent or had already made up their absence. The clinical coordinator was not willing to work with me on relocating my clinical location even though she was helping other students with this all the way into our 2nd week at clinicals. I pay the same as everyone else there for my education, I deserve to be treated the same as everyone else. There are a few of the instructors that are amazing and willing to do what they can to help you understand the curriculum. But other than that, this school is not worth your time or money.

- i was the guy who put i went to school and didn't get blown up (haha i still think its funny) summit was an okay school the teachers there were not teachers from schools but people who actually worked in the field which is pretty good . although summit did change people in the placement department. i learned a lot from there and can give shots with my eyes close, i remember all procedures and safety precautions practically can do this job in my sleep, but that's because i took it seriously. there is drama there but that's cause the students still think it's high school or there's drama between LVNs and MAs and all the other courses...Summit is a good school if you're there to do your business but there are other factors so be aware. other then that the life time placement guarantee which is cool but i graduated (been finished with school) since the beginning of this year still don't have a job only been to maybe about 4 interviews that they've helped me with i've been to plent more but those are what i've got on my own actually going in and looking at their hiring board etc... and i went to the summit expo/hiring fair but it had nothing to do with my trade. they had starcrest products of CA come in and hiring for their warehouse. its a good school and you learn what you need to learn but they say yeah well help you find work (not really, you have to find it yourself which is how people should do it. i'm not complaining about the extra help it's good...

- I also graduated from the same program and I did not get any assistance in looking for a job. They wheeled me in like you and never held up their end. yes the building is nice, but I went there for an education and a JOB. I recommend others to look a lot deeper at the school and go elsewhere!

- I attended Summit Career College last year and graduated 2nd in my class. Unfortunately, the college never lived up to their placement guaranty. I now have a certificate for Medical Coding and Billing, owe $12,500 in student loans, and never received the placement assistance needed to begin a career in this field. They actually had me cold calling medical offices and hospitals versus providing me with warm leads for positions. I am rating the school a 3 because I enjoyed attending the school, the Colton campus is a beautiful facility, but I don't feel they provide the resources needed to help their students after they have graduated.
