Grantham University (GU) was founded in 1951 and is currently based in Lenexa, Kansas. Grantham University was originally known as Grantham Radio Licensing School and later expanded to include a variety of online programs. The school has been nationally accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) since 1961.
Grantham University is comprised of four different schools: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering and Computer Science, the Mark Skousen School of Business, and the School of Nursing and Allied Health.
With a diverse student body hailing from all 50 states and over 100 countries worldwide, the 100% online university seeks to enhance versus inhibit a student’s life.
From a teaching standpoint, Grantham University employs over 500 adjunct and full-time instructors that teach courses within the 40+ targeted degree programs. These programs include the following areas of concentration: business, finance, project management, information management, business intelligence, accounting, criminal justice, nursing, RN-BSN, RN-MSN, Master of Science in Nursing, Case Management (MSN), Nursing Education (MSN), Nursing Informatics (MSN), Nursing Management & Organizational Leadership (MSN), computer engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, cyber security, information systems, and project management.
Paying for school may look different for different students. While some students may be able to pay for school outright, many require financial aid to attend college. Financial aid may be intimidating to some students but the process itself is simple.
First, you will need to speak to a GU advisor to talk about options. Virtually every student will then complete a FAFSA form which helps you understand your federal financial aid. Federal aid coupled with school financial aid, such as grants and scholarships, are a great start to a financial aid package.
Students may then consider federal loans, private loans, work-study programs, and other forms of financial aid. It is important to communicate effectively with the admissions team as they can help guide you to programs that make the most sense for you.
