University of Management and Technology

1901 Fort Myer Drive, Suite 700, Arlington, VA

The University of Management and Technology (UMT) was founded in Arlington, Virginia in 1998.  UMT's mission is to provide students with a robust technology and management education and to promote academic excellence in higher ed.   With the right combination of education, skills, knowledge, and insights a student can take their career to the next level.

Programs offered at UMT include a variety of training programs, certificate programs, and degrees.  Training courses, by design, are non-degree bearing degrees yet teach skills to help students gain mastery over a particular subject or area of study.  All training courses are offered online and include a project management track and a series of corporate training programs.

Certificate programs offered at UMT are split between executive certificate programs and certificates.  The executive track is designed for experienced managers and business professionals that builds upon the certificate programs.  As graduate-level certificates, the executive certificates provide deep insight and skills to executives from all industries.  Examples of executive certificate programs include: criminal justice, acquisition management, homeland security, information technology, public administration and project management.

Certificate programs that are not in the executive track follow a similar curricular design and are created to help students quickly acquire marketable skills at the undergraduate level.  Examples of certificate programs at the undergraduate level include the following:

  • Information Technology
  • Project Management
  • Homeland Security
  • Human Resource Management
  • Criminal Justice
  • Business Management

The degree programs offered by UMT include the full suite of graduate and undergraduate programs.  From an associate degree and bachelor degree to master degrees and doctorate degrees, UMT has a number of academic tracks to consider.  Popular degree programs include business management, engineering management, health administration, criminal justice, information technology, computer science, public administration, and general management.
