Mountwest is one of the 10 public community and technical colleges in West Virginia. The main campus is a beautiful 28-acre land with a 115,000-square-foot academic building. It is just 2 minutes walk from Interstate-64 and 5 minutes away from downtown Huntington. Its off-campus sites operate supplementary facilities which include Center for Culinary Arts, Continuing & Corporate Education and Inland Waterways Academy. The campus community has access to public transit all day and to 650 free parking spaces.

Pick from its nearly 60 associate degree programs which in majority are Associate in Applied Science. You may choose also from its 15 certificate programs in various fields. You’ll be impressed by its state-of-the-art classrooms and its free Wi-Fi campus-wide.

When you go full-time, you can earn an associate degree in 4 semesters excluding any prerequisite.

The available certificate programs which focus on competence in an area will require significantly fewer credit hours to complete.

Together with 1,200 on-site students, you may avail its roster of academic support services. In the Academic Success Center, they offer free tutoring, financial aid, counseling, registration, and career services.
