Information Technology Degree

About
Reedley College, located in Reedley, California, was founded in 1926 as Reedley Junior College. Originally the school shared space with Reedley High School, eventually getting a dedicated building on the same campus. By 1946 the school had become a full fledged community college, and the following years the school was given approval to form its own campus and facilities. The college moved to its permanent location in 1956, where it began to expand rapidly. in 1963 the school joint the State Center Community College District and changed its name to Kings River Community College. BY 1980 the school reverted its name back to Reedley College due to popular voter demand. Today the school serves over 11,000 students yearly and operates several centers throughout the region to service residents in a larger area.

Academics
Reedley College offers a number programs to ensure that students may pursue career training or academic options that best suit their interests. Career programs may result in a certificate or associate degree. These programs provide training and skill development for entry level positions in the field of study. Graduates of such programs will be qualified to work as professionals immediately after matriculation. Academic transfer programs allow students to complete the freshman and sophomore years  of a four year education at low cost, and then transfer to a four year institution to complete one's bachelor degree. Individuals may also participate in non credit courses for personal growth or interest.

Admissions and Financial Aid
As an open enrollment institution, Reedley College will admit any individual with a high school diploma or equivalent. Students interested in attending the school should submit an application  along with all pertinent documents, including transcripts, in order to begin the enrollment process. Once completed students will choose their program of study and register for courses one the scheduled dates. Residency requirements also apply in regards to tuition costs.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and work study programs and are given out based on financial need. Students must obtain a federal PIN and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine need, eligibility and awards. Students may also apply for external scholarships through separate applications, which award additional funds based on the mission of the scholarship.

Athletics
The Reedley College Tigers participate in a number of intercollegiate sports. Athletic programs assist in providing a healthy forum for competition, allowing students to develop their potential and learn skills that may be useful in one's academic and professional life. These skills include teamwork, discipline, good health and sociability. Athletic programs begin and end at various points throughout the year. Interested students should contact the athletic department in order to obtain tryout dates and times.

Description
