Sandusky Career Center (SCC), located in Sandusky, OH, is a great place to receive your initial training for a career or to receive further training in a career you’re already part of. SCC strives to provide a diverse educational experience where all students will become respected, productive, and valued members of the community.

SCC is accredited by the North Central Association of Commission for Accreditation and School Improvement and the Ohio Board of Regents. SCC offers both part-time and full-time programs for students to choose from.  Their programs and classes fall into the following categories:

  • ABLE/GED
  • Business & Computers
  • Health Occupations
  • Public Safety
  • Salon and Spa Services
  • School of Practical Nursing
  • Trade & Industry
  • The Creative You

Within these programs are classes and career training options available for individualized training. For example within the Health Occupations there are two full-time programs available – Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy and Medical Office Administration. They have three individual courses – Medical Terminology, Medical Billing & Coding, and Pharmacy Technician. They also offer two certifications – Medical Assistant (RMA) and Phlebotomy Technician (RPT).

Tuition is based on the classes and/or programs students choose to take. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Military and Veterans receive their education tuition free.

SCC also has a great job placement assistance program. The job placement rate for full-time programs is 67%. Each program coordinator can give that specific program’s job placement rate if desired.
