Grant Career Center is a vocational technical career school that is located at 718 W. Plane Street in Bethel, Ohio. The school offers customized educational programs for companies as well as one-night classes and career training for adults. Customized company training may include Microsoft software education, such as Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. Classes are offered online through ed2go.com/grantcc as well on-campus.
The computerized business and medical applications (CBMA) course at the school is a comprehensive training program that covers 900 hours of instruction educating students in such topics as medical terminology, office procedures, computer use, and medical coding. The intensive training gives students the knowledge they need to competently work as insurance billing specialists or administrative assistants in the government, business, or health care settings. Classes meet during the day during the business week.
Short-term training is available in digital and advanced photography and special interest courses are available in canvas painting, quilting, and cake decorating. A CNA class is also offered three times during the year and consists of 77 ½ hours of instruction.
Other programs cover welding, small engine repair, and fitness instruction in such courses as Pilates, line dancing, and a class called YogaMix.
